The HelsinkiArt.fi Networks

Seven major art institutions of the Helsinki Metropolitan Region have pooled forces to create a joint network opening a new window on the wide and varied world of art. We want to provide improved services, promote information about our work, develop the accessibility of art, and arouse interest in visual art and culture. A further aim is to develop cooperation among the member institutions of the network and the coordination and planning of activities.

The members of the HelsinkiArt.fi network are the Amos Anderson Art Museum, the Ateneum Art Museum, EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, the Helsinki City Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Kunsthalle Helsinki and the Sinebrychoff Art Museum. The institutions of the network hold over 80 art exhibitions each year, and their total number of visitors in 2008 was almost 950,000. In 2009 our exhibitions will be of an exceptionally wide-ranging and international nature, including several major art events. This year can with due cause be called the “year of the arts” in the Helsinki Metropolitan Region. Welcome to the world of the arts.
